This checker gives you the whole report on the free plan. Every check is named, every result is explained, and every failure comes with the specific change that resolves it — ordered so the highest-impact fix is at the top of the list.
What gets checked
- Parseability — reading order, column structure, layout tables, header/footer placement, text extractability, information locked in graphics
- Structure — presence and naming of summary, experience, education and skills sections; section order relative to your experience level; duplicate headings
- Content — full name, valid email, phone, location, complete employment dates, job titles, employer names, timeline gaps, bullet count, quantified impact, action verbs, bullet length, summary length, skills depth
- Keywords — coverage against a target job description, or general impact-verb and vocabulary density without one
- Formatting — font safety, body text size, page margins, decorative characters, total length, export format
How to read your report
Failures come first, sorted by weight. Those are the checks where something is likely being lost or mis-read — a missing email, an unparseable date, a section the extractor will not recognise. Fix all of them before you do anything else.
Warnings come next. These are judgement calls: a two-column layout, a photo, a 38-word bullet, a slightly long resume. Some are fine in context, and the detail text tells you which context.
Passes are kept visible on purpose. It is useful to know that your dates are complete and your headings are recognised, not just what is broken.
Two ways to check
Paste the text of your resume and we analyse exactly what a parser would see after extraction — which is genuinely revealing, because wide internal gaps and interleaved lines in the pasted text are a direct symptom of a column layout that will scramble.
Or check a resume you built here, in which case we can analyse the underlying structure rather than inferring it: real date fields, real section kinds, real skill categories. That report is more precise.
What no checker can tell you
Whether your experience is right for the role. Whether the hiring manager will like you. Whether the position was already filled internally. A resume checker measures the mechanics of getting read — it does not measure your candidacy, and any tool implying otherwise is selling certainty it does not have.

- Is the resume checker free?

- Can I upload a PDF?
- Yes — we extract the text and analyse that, which is precisely what an ATS does. If very little text comes out, that is itself the most important finding: your file is probably image-based and no ATS can read it.
- How accurate is the score?
- The score is a weighted sum of 34 deterministic checks, so it is fully reproducible and every point is traceable. It is not a prediction of any particular employer's ATS behaviour, and we do not present it as one.
- My score is 72. Is that bad?
- It is a resume that parses but is leaving value on the table. Open the failed checks — usually a missing quantified achievement, an incomplete date or a non-standard heading — and each one is a small, concrete edit.
- Does the checker store my resume?
- Reports are saved to your account so you can compare before and after. You can delete any report, and deleting your account permanently removes everything.
