Build your free resume

Works right here, without an account. Nothing you paste is stored.

Free, no account, nothing stored.

The standard trick in this category is to let you spend forty minutes building a resume and then charge you to download it. By that point you have sunk enough effort that paying feels easier than starting over. It converts well. It is also a bad way to treat someone who is out of work.

So here is the line, stated plainly before you start: building a resume and exporting it as a clean, unwatermarked PDF is free, permanently, with no card and no trial clock.

Exactly what the free plan includes

  • The full editor — live preview, drag-to-reorder sections, typography and spacing controls, autosave, undo/redo
  • Nine templates, every one of them ATS-safe (grade 92 and above)
  • Unlimited PDF exports, no watermark, no branding on the page
  • Two saved resumes and two versions per resume
  • One cover letter
  • Ten AI generations a month — bullets, summaries, skills
  • Three full ATS reports a month
  • Three job-match reports a month

And what it does not

It would be dishonest to imply everything is free. The features that cost us real money per use, or that only matter once you are applying at volume, sit behind Pro.

  • Unlimited AI, ATS checks and job-match reports
  • AI tailoring of a resume to a specific job description
  • Nine premium templates, including the executive and creative layouts
  • Unlimited resumes, versions and cover letters
  • The application tracker and its analytics
  • Interview preparation and the AI career assistant
  • The advanced keyword analyzer and DOCX export

Is a free resume good enough?

For most applications, yes. What gets a resume read is a clean single-column layout, standard headings, complete dates, quantified achievements and the right keywords. None of that is a premium feature — it is a discipline, and the free plan gives you every tool needed to apply it.

Pro matters when you are applying to twenty roles rather than two: when re-tailoring by hand each time becomes the bottleneck, and when tracking who you contacted and when starts to matter more than the document itself.

How we pay for the free plan

Pro and Lifetime subscriptions, university and career-centre licences, and non-intrusive advertising on informational articles. There are no ads inside the editor, and we do not sell your career data. Your profile is yours; you can export or permanently delete it from your account settings at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card to use the free plan?
No. Registration takes an email and a password. There is no trial that expires into a charge.
Is there a watermark on the free PDF?
No. The exported PDF contains your resume and nothing else — no logo, no footer, no branding.
Are the free templates the bad ones?
The opposite. All nine free templates score 92 or higher for parser reliability. Several premium templates score lower on purpose, because they trade parse safety for visual expression — which is the right trade only in specific situations.
Can I use the free plan forever?
Yes. It does not expire, and your resumes stay accessible.
What happens to my resumes if I cancel Pro?
Nothing is deleted. Your documents stay in your account and remain exportable; you simply return to the free plan's monthly AI and analysis limits.
